PAWMD PRIVACY POLICY (VETLY LLC)
PawMD ("PawMD," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to respecting the privacy of users of the PawMD mobile application (the "Application") and services provided by us through the Application, our website(s), and other electronic platforms (collectively, the "Services"). PawMD is owned and operated by Vetly LLC ("Vetly").
We operate the Services as a technology platform that (i) may facilitate connections between you and third-party veterinary care providers (each a "Provider" and collectively, "Providers"), and (ii) may provide AI-powered informational tools (including PawScan and Pawla Chat).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and store information when you use the Services.
BY DOWNLOADING, ACCESSING, OR USING THE SERVICES, YOU CONSENT TO THE PRACTICES DESCRIBED IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. If you use the Services on behalf of another person or entity, you represent you are authorized to accept this Policy on their behalf.

1) UPDATES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised policy through the Application or the Services and update the "Last Revised" date above. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
2) UNITED STATES ONLY
We provide our Services only in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for complying with local laws. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer and processing of information in the United States.
3) INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information in three ways: (A) information you provide, (B) information collected automatically, and (C) information from Providers and other third parties.
A. Information You Provide
We may collect:
- Account Information: name, email, phone number, mailing address, account credentials, and authentication info (including third-party sign-in such as Google).
- Payment / Subscription Information: purchase confirmations and subscription status from Apple/Google/Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers; payments are processed by third parties.
- Pet Information: pet name, species, breed, age, weight, reproductive status, vaccinations, medications, allergies, health history you enter, pet photos, microchip/rabies tag numbers, and other pet wellness/health information you choose to provide.
- Symptom / Intake Information (including AI tools): symptoms, notes, images, and other inputs you submit to PawScan, Pawla Chat, or similar tools.
- Appointments / Scheduling: appointment details, selected Provider, and appointment history.
- Telehealth Communications (if offered): audio/video/chat messages and related notes exchanged during Telehealth sessions. If recordings are enabled in the future, we will provide notice and obtain consent where required.
- Support & Communications: messages sent to us (email/in-app), feedback, and support tickets.
B. Information Collected Automatically
We (and our service providers) may collect:
- Device and App Data: device identifiers, IP address, OS/app version, language, device model
- Usage Data: screens viewed, feature usage, clicks, session duration
- Diagnostics: crash logs and performance data
- Approximate Location: derived from IP address
- Precise Location (Optional): only if you enable location permissions
C. Information from Providers and Third Parties
We may receive information from:
- Providers (e.g., visit summaries, SOAP notes, discharge instructions, treatment plans, prescriptions) if shared through the Services or if you authorize sharing
- Authentication providers (e.g., Google) if you use their sign-in
- Payment processors / app stores (purchase confirmations, subscription status)
- Telehealth vendors (if used to facilitate calls)
4) HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services
- Create and manage accounts and pet profiles
- Facilitate appointment scheduling, reminders, and Telehealth (if offered)
- Provide AI-powered informational features (PawScan, Pawla Chat)
- Provide customer support, troubleshooting, and service communications
- Process payments and manage subscriptions (via third parties)
- Perform analytics, quality assurance, product development, and security/fraud prevention
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use
AI Note: AI outputs are generated based on your inputs and may be inaccurate or incomplete. AI outputs are informational and not veterinary diagnosis or treatment.
5) HOW WE DISCLOSE INFORMATION
We may disclose information as follows:
A. Service Providers (Vendors/Subprocessors)
We share information with vendors that help operate the Services (e.g., hosting, database, storage, authentication, analytics, customer support, payment processing). These vendors are authorized to use information only as needed to provide services to us.
B. Providers
If you choose to connect with a Provider, we may share necessary information with that Provider to facilitate scheduling, Telehealth interactions (if any), and care coordination.
C. Legal, Safety, and Security
We may disclose information if we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, respond to legal requests, enforce Terms of Use, protect rights/safety/security, or investigate fraud.
D. Business Transfers
We may disclose information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.
E. With Your Direction / Consent
We may share information when you direct us to do so or consent.
6) APP STORE "TRACKING" AND APP TRACKING TRANSPARENCY (ATT)
Apple defines "tracking" generally as linking user or device data collected from your app with data from other companies' apps/websites for advertising measurement or targeted advertising, or sharing data brokers. If we engage in tracking as defined by Apple, we will request your permission using Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt where required.
If you do not grant permission, we will not use data collected in the app for tracking as defined by Apple.
7) DATA "LINKED TO YOU" VS "NOT LINKED TO YOU"
Some data is collected in a way that is linked to your identity (for example, your account details like email/phone). Other data may be collected in a way that is not linked to you (for example, aggregated analytics or data processed after removing direct identifiers), provided it is not later linked back to you.
We use de-identification and aggregation where appropriate, especially for analytics and improvement.
8) DE-IDENTIFIED AND AGGREGATED DATA
We may create and use de-identified or aggregated data (data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you) for analytics, product improvement, research, and improving AI features. We take reasonable measures designed to reduce identifiability.
9) COOKIES, SDKs, AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
We (and our vendors) may use cookies, SDKs, pixels, and similar technologies to:
- authenticate users,
- remember preferences,
- analyze usage and performance,
- prevent fraud and improve security.
You may be able to control some of these technologies through device settings (e.g., limiting ad tracking) and in-app settings (where available).
10) SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
11) DATA RETENTION
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- provide the Services,
- comply with legal obligations,
- resolve disputes,
- enforce agreements,
- maintain security and prevent fraud.
If you request deletion, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify information, subject to legal, security, and operational retention needs.
12) YOUR CHOICES AND CONTROLS
A. Updating Your Information
You can review and update certain account and pet information in the Application.
B. Marketing Emails
You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us at Support@myvetly.com. You may still receive administrative messages.
C. Device Permissions
You can control camera, photo library, microphone, and location permissions in device settings. If you deny permissions, some features may not function.
D. Access / Deletion Requests
You may request access to or deletion of your information by emailing Support@myvetly.com. We may need to verify your request.
13) CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
14) CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under California privacy laws (such as rights to access, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of certain sharing where applicable). To submit a request, email Support@myvetly.com. We may need to verify your identity.
We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
15) HIPAA AND VETERINARY RECORDS
Veterinary records and pet health information are generally not subject to HIPAA. Providers may have their own confidentiality obligations and privacy practices. This Privacy Policy describes Vetly's practices for information processed through PawMD and is distinct from a Provider's privacy practices.
16) COMMUNITY FEATURES (PUBLIC CONTENT)
If the Services include community areas, reviews, or public forums, information you post may be public. Do not post sensitive personal information in public areas.
17) THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES
The Services may link to third-party services (including Providers). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. Review their policies before providing information.
18) APP PERMISSIONS
The Application may request permissions such as:
- Camera (pet profile photos, PawScan images, food scanning, Telehealth)
- Photo Library (upload existing photos)
- Microphone (Telehealth audio)
- Location (Telehealth services)
